Why We Love Them: New Balance has announced its new 57/40 model, which is a modern interpretation of the brand’s iconic 574 sneakers. While we’re used to the footwear brand constantly reinventing its classic sneakers, we love the pops of colors – like a bold purple, neon green, and bright orange – featured in the new style. The sneakers have a retro ’80s-meets-’90s aesthetic that still feels fresh and fun.
The kicks come in black and white, both of which feature pops of rainbow-colored details that will make you smile. The uppers feature a mix of leather, suede, and mesh. Of course, the sneaker wouldn’t be complete without the classic N logo, which comes in a suede material. The first release of the men’s and women’s 57/40 sneakers will be available globally in a limited release beginning January 9, so set your calendar reminders! If you’re hoping for more colorways or different uses of materials, you’re in luck. You can expect to see various iterations of the new sneakers to be dropped throughout the year as well.
