On Jan. 20, Lady Gaga had the great honor of singing the national anthem at the presidential inauguration, and she wore the perfect outfit: a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture ensemble. The look was complete with a red faille skirt and a fitted navy cashmere jacket adorned with a gilded gold dove. It was statement-making, it was head-turning, and it was undeniably patriotic. We did not expect anything less from Gaga!
In a statement, the brand’s designer Daniel Roseberry spoke about the significance of the avant-garde design. “As an American living in Paris, this ensemble is a love letter to the country I miss so dearly and to a performer whose artistry I have so long admired. Maison Schiaparelli is honored to have this chance to dress the iconic Lady Gaga on this historic Inauguration Day. God Bless Lady Gaga and God Bless America,” he said.
